Fall 2010

On a raintrain

The lake and the lake in the sky.
Today they are
empty twins
holding between them a bridge. The eye
walking it, pressed firmly between.
Knows it is the bridge
that gives all that
negative space
the symmetry of nothingness
and the feeling of weight. The way
a person does.
Amazing the way
a line or a man
can alter
the weight of the visual world
simply
by
proximity.
